Featured Material Statistic and Time Management
Revelation is broadcast by Thru the Bible in 66 episodes, each broadcast lasts 26 minutes in 13 weeks of total 28 hours and 36 minutes.
Although a small overlap with the audio recorded for each episode of a fixed-length radio program is necessary, their value may differ for continuous self-paced learning. By using mp3 track, plus better descriptive Bible verse range, you can easily match the featured outline and track, and save 7 hours and 3 minutes, approx 24.68% your time.
Dr. McGee commentary on Revelation (66001-66208) has a total of 208 tracks. In this book, the length of each track ranges from 1:25 to 19:52 minutes of total 21 hours and 32:34 minutes.
Featured Outlines with commentaries
Outlines are effective because they organize information at multiple levels of granularity.
We have chosen only the two-level reverse outline proposed by J. Vernon McGee to illustrate the main ideas and supporting details. We believe that any review of research on how the reverse outline can be constructed in a purposeful and meaningful writing manner will be beneficial to readers. For those who want to understand the depth of the research and see how the topic is fully developed, the benefits are obvious.
With exception, in this book of Revelation, we added more depth hierarchy levels (3-5) of the featured outline where NET translation headings division not matched. Please notes (* below) these may not significant to everyone but technically helpful and might be valuable which enable to move your study to the next level.

Study Bible by headings/Subtitles and Outlines
Not all Bible Translation provides Headings/Subtitles. McGee’s uses KJV that he discussed many times in his study recordings. Just for plain explanation purpose his use alternative “his translation” during the study of Revelation.
We featured both NET and NAB Bible translation for reason discussed before. We try to bring NET Headings / Subtitles integrated with the Featured Outline at Meso Level (Section/Chapter Level) which breaks chapters into smaller, thematic units.
KJV audio links provide below for quick access by each chapter.
As discussed earlier, here are the breakdown where the featured outline and Headings/subtitles overlap area.
- III/B/1: Opening of the seven-sealed book. Chapter 6- 8:1. v. 8:1 treats as part of “III/B/1/h: Opening of the seventh seal” but not “III/B/2:Blowing of the seven trumpets, Charter 8:2 – 11:19.” (Note: NET translation headings divides between “The Sealing of the 144,000” and “The Seventh Seal” on v8.1)
- III/B/6/b: Political and commercial Babylon judged, Chapter 18. The entire Chapter 18 treats as part of “III-B-6: The two Babylons judged, Chapter 17, 18.” III/C/1: Four hallelujahs, vv.1-6. but NET translation continues as “Babylon is Destroyed”. (Note: In addition, v.19.6 seems not agree with III/C/1 in NET translation. The NET headings divides between Babylon is Destroyed and The Wedding Celebration of the Lamb on v19.6)
In the book Revelation, our found these three area that might need your attention.
